“Clair de Lune” is a piece from the Suite Bergamasque, by Claude Debussy. The title, translated from French, means “Light of the Moon.” This solo piano work is a wonderful example of a piece written in the impressionist style, around the turn of the last century. It remains very popular, and is often used in many movies, such as Oceans 11 and Twilight. This performance is played by Marnie Laird, of the Brooklyn Duo. Enjoy!
